From Uganda’s Farmers to the World
Every great cup of coffee begins with a farmer.
Across Uganda, thousands of smallholder families cultivate coffee on fertile soils, combining generations of knowledge with a deep respect for the land. Coffee is more than a crop—it is the foundation of rural livelihoods, local communities, and future opportunities.
MERO was created to build a stronger connection between these farmers and international coffee buyers.
Rather than acting as a traditional trader, MERO focuses on creating transparent, reliable, and long-term supply relationships. We work alongside organized farmer communities, supporting quality improvement, professional post-harvest handling, traceability, and efficient export logistics. The result is a dependable supply chain that benefits both producers and customers.
Uganda is uniquely positioned in the global coffee industry. As the natural home of Robusta coffee and one of Africa’s leading coffee-producing nations, it offers exceptional Robusta alongside distinctive high-altitude Arabica grown on the slopes of Mount Elgon and other mountain regions. Coffee remains the country’s most important agricultural export, with millions of livelihoods depending on its success.
At MERO, every shipment begins with relationships built on trust. We believe sustainable partnerships create better coffee, stronger farming communities, and greater confidence for buyers around the world.
Our mission is simple:
Connecting farmers, creating value, and delivering Ugandan coffee with integrity—from origin to destination. Rooted in Uganda. Connected to the World.
